Polyimide Battery Binder

Dreambond® is a unique polyimide based high temperature binder for lithium ion batteries. The binder is particularly efficient in high capacity silicon and silicon oxide anodes. In a typical silicon oxide based battery capacity retention was 90% between 2nd and 100th cycle. This new binder will allow the implementation of new high capacity anode technology in commercial batteries. The high capacity batteries should be highly efficient in high current applications, such as, hybrid or electric automobiles and hand held devices with high resolution displays that require battery capacity beyond the capability of current batteries.

Fields of Application

Cycle properties of cells using Dreambond 100 or PVdF as a binder for SiO anode.
